Ik krijg vanuit Woord en Daad regelmatig vragen van donateurs die precies willen weten wat er met hun geld gebeurt. Omgekeerd kan een goede-doelen organisatie in de toekomst waarschijnlijk niet om Crowdfunding heen. Het International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) beoogt gegevens uitwisseling van en over ontwikkelingssamenwerking te standaardiseren. De internationale standaard is in 2011 officieel beschikbaar gekomen en sinds begin oktober publiceert het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken ook haar gegevens over ontwikkelingssamenwerking.
